Overview
Gantry and Semigantry cranes
Gantry crane
A Gantry crane travels on two legs supported by rails installed at floor level, making its structure fully independent. The units shown in the gallery are small cranes intended for material handling in defined work areas.
Semigantry crane
A Semigantry crane combines one leg supported by a floor-level rail with its other end supported by an elevated structure or runway. This arrangement uses the facility infrastructure when a fully independent solution is not the best fit.
In both cases, geometry, capacity, travel path and components are determined through engineering based on the building and operation.
